Ranked among the top schools in the United Kingdom for Biology, we took up a project of expanding the reach of School of Biology's Brand. As one of the key solution proposed by us, we proposed to organize an international Summer School. This course to the School of Biology was inspired by the fact that not all students can afford to study for a full time degree program in UK. We did a lot of research to finalise the design of the course, and decided that this summer school would not only take the students on a journey of product discovery from the lab to the industry; but also transform their outlook towards industrial biotechnology and equip them with knowledge which would help the student in entrepreneurial ventures, industrial or academic settings.
The course was extremely successful in attracting 34 students from India, Egypt, Spain, Greece and Japan in the first year itself. From designing the web portal, conceptualising the marketing material to taking care of the financial management and arranging the accommodation/travel of these students, our team created and implemented the processes wonderfully. Marketing activities for the summer school resulted in new collaborative proposals for the School of Biology and several summer school students have opted for full-time programs at Newcastle University. |
The dawn of web 2.0 gave the power of digital creation in the hands of non-technical individuals as well and with the advent of the social networking technologies & cloud based applications, it was evident that the way we deliver or consume knowledge would change forever. We also understood from our interactions with the students and teachers during our training programs in Schools that there was a dire need of bringing next generation of technological tools and trainings for the creation, delivery & management of learning at the school level.
Our learning development team together with the our IT partners developed a patented solution portal which uses the power of social internet to connect students, teachers and parents on a single platform with the tools of learning. A bouquet of training programs are delivered through our portal and through live workshops, to empower teachers to bring world-class content to the classrooms. We build a unique learning community where the teachers develop & deliver learning content with the help of students and parents. Implemented first by the popular Maxfort School & Adriel High (Delhi) and Maurya Public School (Gurgaon). Our training solution is now being implemented in leading schools across India. |
